Front Tire Cupping??

So... my 135 (w/sport pkg) just went on 4k mi and my front tires are definitely showing cupping on the outer edges. I don't race it at all and I certainly don't recklessly fly around corners. I took it to the dealership and they said the wheels where aligned to spec and that I was cornering too hard.. I have a M Roadster that I've had 2 years and the fronts are perfectly good.. Is anybody else having wear problems with the front tires? The dealer said they're checking into any other reports of 1 series tire issues.

Funny that you mention this as i just finished washing my car today and noticed that my front tire especially the right front one looks worn on the outer edge i have 5,400 miles on my car and no alignment issue and i too do not drive the car hard at all especially around corners. Ill mention it to the dealer when i take it in as i have a feeling somethings not right with this tire.

Same here...I have 14k on my summer tires and haven't noticed anything...No problems with my winter tires that have 6k on them.

Have them check the wheel balance. If it is out of balance that can cause cupping. Also a bad shock absorber can do the same.
