which engine

hi there, we (my wife and I) are thinking of a one series but I have been told the 1600 cc is a bad engine but didn't realy want a 2000cc anybody got any thing good or bad to say on the 1600cc or any other info on the 1

Are you in the US? maybe go to BMWUSA.com to see what they offer. There is a 3.0L Inline 6 making 230hp in the 128i, and the same size engine with twin-turbos making 300hp in the 135i. I'm not sure of the displacment but I can almost guarantee its more than 2000cc(A 2.0L turbo eclipse make 1997cc)...just research and youll find the right info!!
