rear camber plates

well while my car is on order and in transit i have began to aquire my performance parts. Next on my list are some kw v2 and some nice 8.5 and 9.5 18"s. So i will probably lower the car about an inch to an inch in a half and i am woundering if anyone makes a rear camber plate, the major problem i had with lowering my volvo was the fact that no one made them and i was going through tires every year with only about 10k miles on them. anyways thanks for your help.

The rear of the 1ers have easily adjustable lower control arms, with an indexed offset head bolt. It's possible to go from +1 to -5 degrees pretty easily. Playing with it is not recommended unless you know what you are doing though...

Here's a pic that I took of the bolt I'm talking about, where you can clearly see the offset head on the bolt (well on that side, it's an offset washer, but on the other side, the head is offset):

We were able to get a max of -2 degrees using the stock eccentric bolts. The toe arms were keeping us from maxing out the adjustment which would have been ~2.2 deg negative.

Don't get too wild on the drop and you should have enough camber adjustment to be within oem specs and not wear out tires.

So if I lower my car on coilovers. The max rear camber with the stock components is right around -2.1 degrees? Would I be able to adjust the toe to a perfect, I guess 0 setting?

You would not want more than -2 of rear camber for a street driven 135i. Toe should be 3/16" total, toe-in.
