The Average Deal (For 135i's and 128i's)

What have you been paying for your 1er? I know there are other threads, but I think the information will be easily displayed with a poll. Non-USers are more than welcome to respond.

If you are doing ED, base your response off of ED MSRP please.

Well, if you accept military sales pricing I paid almost $4K less than MSRP. And no sales tax either, for a total savings of about $8K!!

You should have made the values $100-$500, $501-$1000, $1001-$1500... I got $500 off and could have chosen $100-$500 or $500-$1000 in the poll.

i wish you guys would stop basing car buying as a "below MSRP" and start using "above invoice." don't give the dealer any advantage!

So let me get this right, your 135i cost you around $34,000? THAT IS NOT FAIR - in the UK, a completely bare spec 135i M Sport is £29800, or around $60,000 - that's just not fair. My 123d will cost me around $50k, still not exactly fair of BMW, although I will be getting more than 5% off the list price, a good $2500 saving, but that's to be expected here.

Excuse me, not to steal your thunder or anything, but in terms of being all-time kings of getting the worst deal we in Australia are streets ahead of you lot. I am paying close to US$82000 for my 135i M Sport. Isn't that what you pay for a bare-bones M5 in the US?

Not fair? Sorry but if BMW wanted to give the car to the folks that serve in the military I would be completely happy for the ones who get the discount.. Thanks for serving!!!!:headbang::headbang:

What advantage does the dealer get if we discuss the price of a car based on MSRP in a forum? We are not negotiating with a dealer right now and as a point of reference it is much easier to discuss MSRP because that info. is much more readily available. If it makes you feel superior to talk in terms of invoice then by all means convert our numbers to over invoice.
