2012 M135i No Reverse display, starting issue

Hey guys, one of my mates recently picked up an M135i, so far it’s been really decent but there are a couple of strange things going on.

It is equipped with a reversing camera, yet when reverse gear is selected, the sensors audibly work, but there is no display on the iDrive. Nothing at all. In theory the camera and some graphic should come up displaying what the sensors are reading, but nothing at all happens. Have checked camera is plugged in, and have checked some things on BimmerCode and nothing seems to be weird.

Other issue is, it won’t always start first time. I think this is more a coding or electrical issue with the button, but simply pressing the start button with the brake depressed won’t start the car you have to always press it a second time or hold the button down, as the first time will just turn accessory power on.

Pressing the button twice too quickly will result in the engine starting and immediately shutting off again.

Any ideas?

Is the camera factory or retrofitted?

Regarding the starting issue I barely recall that can be coded (BimmerCode?). Otherwise it should be the pedal sensor (press harder?), apparently.
