When is the US release date?

I thought the release date was today March 14th... I thought I read that a bunch of people where picking up their cars today but none of the dealer have them and say they won't until the end of the month or early next month...

our dealer got the sapphire black coral interior 135i. both headlights had condensation in it. otherwise i'm in love

The public debut is march 25th, at least at the manhattan's dealer. They did send me an invitation email to test drive it next week.

I stopped by the dealer in Charleston today and they showed me they have a bunch that have been sent to them and should be there today or tomorrow.

Bacchus, what do you mean, how did they show you if they arent there yet? My dealer in GA seems to be suggesting that demos show up when they show up, and there is no advance warning.

That said, I have been thinking all along that my car would be on the same truck as Charleston cars, so I hope you and they are right!:thumbup:

Last weekend, Hendrick Imports (charleston) said their demo cars should be here by this saturday, ie. tommorrow, or early next week. They were supposed to get a few to sell of the lot as well. Mine went into production yesterday... So, i don't know if I wanna go test drive one or not.

I heard from two dealers:

1) Dealer in Lebanon, NJ just called and said that they got a 128i in Sedona (my color) as well as a 135i (customer car) and they also received a convertible as well.

2) Dealer in Flemington, NJ sent me an email stating that they had 1 series cars on the lot available for viewing / test driving. Not sure what that means exactly.

I'll be heading to either (or both!) tomorrow.

i heard the ship got hit by 60 ft waves and half the cargo was lost the other half is damaged. lol sux for us. the guy i heard it from has an M3 that was on order and on the way over. then he said lol get this "and thats why ferraris are flown over" i was like "yeahhh ok mister big shot. so what happens when ur ferrari is hijacked and flown into the ground. how bout that 200k+ flaming POS in the ground now?" he just walked off and was like "well he doesn't get it"

Looks like it is working out to be whenever the cars arrive at the individual dealers, at this point, really, who knows. :iono:

Back in 06 when I bought an 325i, it was normal to have condensation in the headlights. It only lasted for 4 days and then it was gone. How this happens? No idea its weird..

One of my friends has had a 128i on order and it is on its way to the dealer, but the dealer said she can't pick it up until the official release date.

Some how she got $1,000 of msrp too. She is getting a damn good deal for a brand new model.

Sally and I visited ours at the dealer yesterday. We got to start it and sit in it; but, we won't get to pick it up until the 22nd which is supposed to be the Official Release date. We took some pictures and will post when we download them.
