How to get my dealer to get me Terracotta Int?

Nevermind, I got the Terra interior, and now I'm even more syked! He says its about 6-8 weeks off for my car.

He just has to order it. It's something he can enter on the order form. No special procedure.

I know it seems pretty funky, but I am getting black metallic with the Terra interior. I love the contrast of black and brown!!! The two-tone inside the car is already black and brown anyway, so I think it will work.

NO the black with Terra int will look great. Are you getting the gloss black interior trim (I HOPE) That will look AWESOME. I am going to order AW 135i manual, at first I wanted Coral, then I decided to get black leatherette, I like the Lemon ALOT but it will get dirty real easy, especially the light carpet. Now I see the Terra and really love it. Its a light chocolate brown with a hint of red.
Now I must decide if I want real leather. Reading alot lately on several forums that the leather wears much faster. That the leatherette looks like new after 5 years. OH BOY??? At least I have 329 days until I order one, "1".

fyi - the carpet is black. i think the "lemon will get dirty" concern is overblown but i could be wrong.

terra will look great! there are real-life pictures of black on terra ... so OP i'd search around here and you'd see how great it will look irl.

The picture of a BMW with Lemon interior also had lemon or a very light color carpet. Maybe it was a pic of a 3 or 5 series. The Lemon seats would be easy to keep clean and with black carpet no problem. BUT the leather is said to wear fast and/or crack.

If I get leather???????? For a Alpine White 135i, the choices are Coral, Terra, Lemon. Very hard to choose for a white car. Is the Lemon TOO much white/light. Is the Coral TOO bright, will the Terra match the white?:iono:

Terra won't match AW... :wink:

Really either Coral or Terra will look great, along with Black (and possibly Savanna Beige). I dunno about Gray though.

larryn, you don't think Lemon would look good with AW?

I guess any color int would look ok with AW. Just a choice to be made.

What about the wear with leather? Say I am 99% of the time the only one in the 1. Then the driver seat will look old and the others like new. Where I hear the leatherette doesn't really show wear.

I know I saw some kind of Bimmer with Lemon that had light carpet. Well it doesn't matter now anyway.

Jeff, I really don't think it would look that good. There was a thread here somewhere, where we discussed AW/Lemon. Basically, there's a zillion shades of white (just go to Lowes or Home Deport and take a look at the paint swatches), and most of them do not go well together.

Alpine White is more on the blue spectrum of whites, where Lemon is more on the yellow spectrum.

AW and Lemon doesn't work for me at all. Looks like a car fit for a driver with plaid pants a white belt heading off to the 4pm dinner special...

That's a little bit clash-y with the two shades of white together.

I cant image taupe would look that great with AW either.

I got my dealer to change my order. He says he thinks that the Terra may cost more. Is he wrong? According to the international website, it should cost the same, but maybe not since we're in lovely America.

it does NOT cost more. same price as regular leather.

(of course if you had originally ordered leatherette then yeah it will cost more)

Well that answers that question. The white body makes the Lemon look like a cat Pissed all over it.

I guess if I get leather, it will be Coral or Terra. I can't see getting black leather. If I get a black interior I will get leatherette.
