135i sport seat question.

I originally was going to order power seats, but I really don't need the memory, I am the ONLY driver. Will the 8 way manual sport seats in the sport package adjust as much as the sport seats with the $995 power seat option? I like the bottom cushion to be angled high in front and low in backk for leg support. I am 6'1" and have long legs.

Yes, they have the same adjustments, except mostly done manually. The side bolsters are still powered by a power-inflated air bladder system.

The Premium Package (ZPP) adds lumbar support, that you will not be able to get on manual seats in the States. I do know of people who retrofit lumbar support, since it uses the same air system, just with different inflating bags, and a different switch.

Thanks much. I will have to go sit in one before ordering. Comfort is a must. No matter how much it costs. My Civic Si has fantastic seats. NO adjustment needed. I sold a 2007 Acura TL Type-S automatic and bought a 2007 Civic Si sedan in Aug 07. I wanted a manual trans and thought this would be fun until the 135i comes out. I am waiting until April 09 to get a 135i. Thanks again larryn.

Does anyone have any idea what the weight difference is between the manual and power seats. My main reason for ordering manual is because the power seats in my M3 are very heavy and once I set the position, it probably wont move.

If you get the premium package.... forward and back, up and down, bottom seat angle, back seat angle, back bolsters, and lumbar support. Thigh support is manual on both powered and non-powered seats.

only the back bolsters, but you can purchase the power seat option, and get everything except lumbar as powered.

I'd go to a BMW dealer and try them out. Personally, I usually leave lumbar support fully deflated anyways, so I saw no real reason to spring for power seats. Never had it in a sports car, and never missed it, don't think it'll be any different in this car.

I totally agree with your opinion. The only time I really used the lumbar was on a few long (>4hr) drives.

the only reason I did get premium on this car was for the BT, leather, and dimming mirrors.

Agree about the power but get the heat. Not only are they great when it's cold but when your back aches, they are very therapeutic.

ON MY, HOLLY COW.

FACT: There is NO NEED for spending $995 for power sports seats.

I just looked and sat in a 135i Alpine white, black leather, sport seats, silver aluminum trim. 100% The BEST seats I have EVER sat in. The adjustability is endless. The entire car looks MUCH better then any picture can do. In & out its AWESOME. I wish I was getting one this year. It just blows away anything else I have looked at. If it cost $4k more, I would still buy it over the 335i.

Yes I did. I WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED, BIG TIME. That car is worth so much more IMO.

I feel sick now,,,, I HAVE to wait until next March 09 to order one. I will tell you that the power seat pkg is a waste of money. And I WILL NOW get leather.

Alpine White 135i manual
Sport Pkg.
Comfort Access.
Black leather. Not sure about int trim. Aluminum, Poplar grey, Gloss black ???

MAYBE the Premium Hi-Fi upgrade, I have to hear the diff first.
