Member profile picture problem?

I have been tying for a week now to add a photo to my profile and it always 'fails to upload'. The file size, format etc. are all correct? Any suggestions?

Just tested. Same just happened to me.

EDIT: so an hour later, my avatar self populated, even though I got the error message.
