I feel I have brought enough entertainment to this board to post a shameless plea for help thread .

My wife has 15 yrs experience as a marketing professional and had an awesome resume. Her income level is right at $100k and is at the beginning senior level. Well her last company she was with had several massive rounds of "re-orgs" and she got caught in the 3rd one. It was a big publicly traded international tech company, she had been with for 4 yrs and was working remotely.

If you know of any companies that might want to look at her resume, she really is a rockstar (not just saying that), wizzed through her MBA like child's play several yrs ago.

Or if anyone has any suggestions of places to look online, she has had about 8-10 interviews but nothing has stuck so far... Though she is waiting to hear back from 2 others.

Feel free to disregard if this blatant request for help bothers you, I just figured I'd ask, since some of you are clearly very smart and experienced in your respective fields.

Fortunately we live well below our means, she received a nice severance package and we have good savings with zero debt besides our mortgage which is more than half way payed off. Additionally, my job is doing great, but my wife is much happier when she is busy working, so I thought I'd at least put it on here.

is she in consumer goods (CPG) by any chance?

if so... get on forcebrands asap and talk to a recruiter

Use the connections you have - that includes this board! Don't ever feel like you shouldn't, you never know who knows someone that might be looking.

If I found something, I'm assuming you'd definitely be willing to relocate to the great white north? You can wear your Florida tshirts year round up here. You might not want to, and you might get frostbite if you do, but you *can* wear them. Plus, you'll fit right in with the obligatory Canuck I occasionally see pumping gas in shorts while it is snowing.

But yeah, good luck with your search, hope something interesting turns up soon for her!

I always felt like marketing people should be able to market themselves.

Try Fivrr for some gigs, might lead to something.

Talk to all of the headhunters in her field.

She might look up David Pinkley, aka The Resume Sage, on LinkedIn. I’ve known David for 15 years or so. Can help with resume and search strategies, probably more. I know he works with execs, not sure beyond that.

I have a friend from NJ who I went to Highschool with who works for Dealer.com in marketing and does the marketing and website modification with help from IT geeks for our dealership group down here in Florida.

No idea what the income level is but I know her and her husband live a comfortable life and there are dealerships all over the country using Dealer.com

Wife had 2 interviews today - one was very in line with her previous experience and plans to lee her know quickly - fingers crossed/Godspeed.

She was hired back by the same company (which is what I expected to happen), in February. She had a lot of interviews and almost moved to another company but they were smart and brought her back.
