Whatīs that part?
I just removed the bottom engine cover to clean oil spills from a leaking oil filter housing.
A rubber part dropped to the floor. I honestly have no idea where it came from or where it could be installed. A year ago i had an indi repaired something on the left axis after an accident. Might be a rubber bearing? But from where? Anyone has seen this part before? |

For sure that is where it's from...there is a little stud on the frame rail that it slips on to. The first time I pulled the airbox, it stuck to the box until it pulled off that stud, then fell out, and ended up exactly where you found yours.

FWIW, I just replaced mine after it got lost (I'm assuming it fell into the underhood shield below the engine and then rolled out onto the road somewhere). I ended up spraying the bottom of the buffer and the frame rail where it mounts (after cleaning the frame rail) with a bit of 3M tacky spray adhesive to help it stay in place.
