Going to M driving school next week, what to expect?

Hey all,

My wife purchased the M driving school (one day) in Palm Springs next week. Very excited as I've been telling her I've wanted to go for the past.. oh let's see 10 years? Lol

What should I expect or bring while there? I've read some people record their track runs on their phones/ GoPro I'd like to do this; what can I use to mount my phone to record ? Also for those who live in Cali/ been to Palm Springs what Else is there to do there?

I didn't try recording when I was there. They do provide video if you drove the M4 GT4 though. Sunblock and drink plenty of water out there, it'll get toasty.

BMW has a couple of barrels of cold bottled water right near the front door.
It sure comes in handy. Take one with you when you are out driving on the track. They usually have a nice lunch set up for lunch time.

Yep. Step away and grab a bottle whenever you get the chance. Temps will rise by the end of the week so dress accordingly.

Is your plan final? If possible, try to upgrade to two days with the hotel (Paseo back in Jan 2020). Second day is a lot more track time. Well worth considering

I like Palm Springs a lot. You guys will either love it or hate it. A lot of people think it's boring. The mountains are huge and beautiful. There's a cool zoo which I forget the name of and really good restaurants.

Plenty to do in the Palm Springs area; we're holding our annual Oktoberfest there latter this year. If you play golf, there's plenty of courses like PGA West out there; typical target desert/golf. For hiking, there's always Joshua Tree. Pretty nice cars out there too and some good places to eat.

If you can swing 2 day M school, that's the place to do it. They are connected to the Thermal track and you get some good seat time on the South course. There's some incredible race cars that I've seen at Thermal too; plenty of BMWs, Lambos, Ferraris, and an occasional Senna

Oh man thanks a lot guys I'm very excited to go.

Yea as much as I'd like to do the 2 day we pretty much planned to do other things while we're there together. I'll definitely do the two day course at a later time though.

I'm excited to push these cars to the limit as I haven't been able to with my M6 (purchased last fall) without being too reckless lol.
