For me it’s Southern rock.
Lynyrd Skynyrd: One More From the Road, the whole album. Allman Brothers, Best of. But then I have no problems driving 1000 miles in a day, so classic vinyl on satellite radio works.

On this week’s drive I listened to all 9 Beethoven symphonies, and still had several hours (no music, Zen time).
On the return drive I’ll probably play an assortment of Jazz since I’m in that mood. Dizzy, Miles, Trane, Hawkins - that crowd and era. Sometimes I’ll listen to business news (Sat radio), or farm reports and other local stuff (AM), surf the FM stations as I pass along, etc. Next trip I’ll probably play opera: Carmen, La Boheme, Madame Butterfly, Tosca are my car favorites. And of course there is always Bohemian Rhapsody. |
