who else is unsatisfied with their job?

Who else here can't stand their job? Everyday I come in and pretend to do work when in all actuality I just sit all day broswing car forums, and wasting my money on parts. I've been with this company, if you can call it that, for about 4 years now; but only in this job field for about 4 months. And I really can't see myself doing this for longer than i'm required to. I thought when i changed jobs it would be all great but it really hasn't turned out the way I wanted it to. Its just not satisfying in any way at all. Everybody is out for themsevles and don't give a shit about you.

work from 1030 to 8pm out at a nursery inspecting plants. Nobody my age or that speaks my language. Fuckin sucks. I have no clue where to go work with an environmental science degree that'll be at least somewhat fun and actually have people my own age. Jobs fuckin suck right now. Somedays I envision myself putting my boot through my supervisor's face. Can't wait for the day I can walk into his office and kick my feet up on his desk and proceed to tell him how shitty he is, how shitty the department is and how shitty the job is. Until the economy gets better though, at least it's income.

Not laughing at you but the boot comment made me chuckle. Good/rewarding jobs are out there it's just finding the ones that pay worth a sh#t.

Gents and Ladies, we have to remember why we work, to get the things we want in life, and also to get by. While we may hate our jobs, we must endure until we have enough equity to move on. We can't quit so abruptly if we really detest our jobs. Ensure your future, then move on.

Here in Cali, the CHP makes an excellent salary, has good benefits and a good retirement plan. Being a police officer has to be something you want to do from what I'm told. You're going to work long hours sometimes and you're going to see things most people would only see in a nightmare. It'll get to you. I'd ask a police officer though. It seems to be a thankless job. Everybody hates you when you give them a ticket, even though they get caught breaking the law. Everybody also hates you when something goes wrong because they say police are "never there when you need them." Just can't win with people. It can be a good job imo though. It just depends on the person. There's a show on tv called rookies. One dude quit after like 1 week. I think one rookie actually got killed. The job is no joke.
