2022 Cadillac CT4-V And CT5-V Blackwings Shown Ahead Of Their Debut On Monday
https://www.carscoops.com/2021/01/20...but-on-monday/
The CT5 looks more enticing than the CT4 with 650hp, 650lb-ft, and standard 6MT. We'll see how the reviews are, but I'd get this over an M5 CS, maybe even an M3. Probably under $100k fully loaded, and maybe some massive discounts on leftover stock like the Chevy SS had in its final year. BTW, SS still holds its value really well. Have to give Cadillac props for making this and offering a stick to save the manuals. |

Both cars look hideous and Cadillac is a dead brand to me. They ruined the V badge and seem to change model names every year - What is CT4 or CT5?
Get the previous gen car and save $50k. Same powertrain. |

CT4 does look like ass, but the CT5 could be nice. I never got into Cadillacs, but I'd still give them some credit for making it at an attainable price (w/ a manual option). |

Drive a previous gen ATS-V or CTS-V, they are great cars. Underpinned by the excellent Alpha Chassis that the 6th Generation Camaro shares, excellent electric steering feel and comfortable and composed Magneride suspensions the V-cars have always been excellent handling vehicles that typically drive much better than their competition. The prior CTS-V was already the best driving car in its class compared to the RS7, E63S, M5 and Panny Turbo.

Sure most of the aforementioned vehicles are market failures, but I'll give credit where it's due.

We don't get Cadillac here, but this looks like a styling step backwards from the previous cts v. I liked that they were angular and doing something different.

I see they finally moved on from the '90s Cavalier instrument gauges. That simple failure alone was what kept a lot of folks from the ATS-V.....and the chrome wheels which should be forever banned from a performance vehicle.

Not much has changed with the Blackwings from a mechanical perspective. They should drive pretty similar to the previous V's with the addition of gearbox modifications (new 10AT and 6MT) as well as some upgrades like Carbon Ceramics, etc. This is more so an extensive facelift inside and out with some nice upgrades here and there.

2) No AWD in the heavy and overpowered CT5 Blackwing, is that correct? A GM Hellcat? Good luck with that. 3) Still using that massive archaic supercharged 6.2L V8 while the competition has long moved on to the much more efficient yet equally powerful twin-turbo 4.0-4.4L V8 setup? Very innovative. |

2)AWD is likely to be an option for the CT5 only as it has been found in the leaked options list. RWD is standard on both cars. 3)LT4 is a great engine with plenty of character that matches its American branding. Why blend in with a TTV8 like everyone else when you can stand out. A Supercharged Small-Block V8 gives it a much more raw and engaging feeling that is unique and hard to find in this class of car. GM is not trying to be the sales king or blend in with these cars. They are going for limited production this time around so they will likely sell every one they make. |

GM knows full well that they will never be the sales king in the M3/M5 class, therefore limited production is a genius idea. Limited production is vague (without actual numbers) so, we'll see if they sell all examples. Are we talking M2CS production numbers?

Initial reservations are limited to 500 vehicles (250 for each model) with special perks, and then rumored to transition into an order-only situation for each model. Possibly may end up at a similar situation as the CT6-V but of course more information will come later.
