Honor Blackman from Goldfinger

Honor Blackman, James Bond's Pussy Galore, dies aged 94.

RIP

I remember seeing this at a younger age...and the words left me giggling like the little kid that I was.

Who are you?" Bond asks.

"I'm Pussy Galore."

"I must be dreaming," he responds.

Remember it well when I saw it as kid myself. The sexual innuendo for a kid and possibly an adult in the 60’s made us all giggle inside or out. Great movie and one of the best Bond flicks to this day. IMO. I can’t pass it flipping through the channels and not watch it. Bond trivia- In the book Pussy was a carpet muncher.
RIP Honor

94....wow. I remember seeing this as a wee lad on VHS. I grew up watching the Bond films. Anytime one is on as I'm flipping through channels, that's where the remote gets set down. I consider myself a bit of a bond aficionado. I know WAY too much about these films. My only complaint about any of those movies is the original Casino Royale.....terrrible, terrible, terrible movie; almost unwatchable.

Starting with On her Majesties Secret Service I've seen every Bond Film in Theatre. I go through withdrawal waiting for the next film as soon as I see the latest release. I re-watch them often and I remember before streaming alway's catching them when they were on TV, and the Bond marathon's were always a must watch for me. Having said all that, some of the Bond films just don't stand the test of time (IMHO), many of the Roger Moore films for me just don't hold up anymore, I loved that at the time but I just can't manage them now. The special effects became a bit lame as well as the story lines. I know that the story lines always use a villain that is current to the point in time.

Anyway, still love the film and when I think back, Pussy Galore was over the top risqué for the time, I'm surprised they got away with that back in the day.

I must admit I just figured out I got the quote mixed up with a Bond line which means the same thing. Close but no cigar on my part.

Don't leave me hanging, what were you thinking because I'm thinking that sounds like something that Connery might have said.

That's awesome! I've seen all from Golden Eye at the theater. Fun Fact: George Lazenby is the only actor to play James Bond to star in only one film. Oher notable fun stuff, obviously the Austin Powers movies relied heavily on the Bond films for references, but Mike Meyers gave a tip of the hat to another film in Gold Member. The pimpmobile seen in Gold Member was the same 1971 Eldorado used in the film Willie Dynamite. When Austin first sits in the car, a neon sign can be seen in the background that reads "Willies Dynamite Chicken."

I agree with the Roger Moore films. The 80's was a strange decade. I blame cheesy sexual innuendo's and massive amounts of cocaine.

Speaking of Bond quote's, this is my fav.

Plenty O'Toole:
Hi, I'm Plenty.

James Bond:
But of course you are.

Plenty O'Toole:
Plenty O'Toole.

James Bond:
Named after your father perhaps?

Perhaps Chew Mee from The Man With The Golden Gun?

James Bond : Good morning. How's the water?
Chew Mee : Why don't you come in and find out?
James Bond : Sounds very tempting, Miss...?
Chew Mee : Chew Mee.
James Bond : Really? Well, there's only one small problem. I have no swimming trunks.
Chew Mee : Neither have I.

Watched Goldfinger last Saturday

Amazon Prime is running several of the old Bond films in 4K UHD. I watched Goldfinger last Saturday and was surprised at how well it held up. Goldfinger’ s costumes were a scream!

Considering every Austin Powers movie is a mish-mosh of Bond characters/scenarios....we'll allow it.

The original true Bonds are so much better than the new junk they made. More mature dialogue and humor. Exception to this is Daniel Craig’s work.
