Visiting New Jersy, Need Some Advice...
Hi,
I will be visiting NJ(near Basking Ridge area) next week for work and it's most likely gonna be by myself. I don't want to just sit in the hotel room every night so that's why I need advice on some good places to hang out. Do you guys know any good clubs/bars with friendly crowd and good music? Thanks! -Kevin |

honestly the city is the way to go if your up in the middle of north jersey
i live in central jersey so i don't think any areas around me would be too appealing to your situation unless your down for nearly a couple hours driving

Basking Ridge is a fairly affluent suburb so I do not think you will find much a club scene nearby but I must admit it has been a few decades since I concerned myself with such things.
Rutgers is about 30 mins away but I don't know if you are looking for college age type clubs. Do yourself a favor and head to Yankee Stadium if the Yanks are in town, scalp a ticket and see a game there before it is torn down. Also, if you do find your self in Hoboken, there is a pizzeria called Benny Tudino's that has some great pizza.

Because he is going to Basking Ridge?
What a Fortune 500 CEO might mug him on the way to the country club?

yea i gotta admit nothing will happen in Baskin Ridge....I live in Hoboken...pretty cool place.
I'm pretty sure u can take a train to Hoboken from Baskin Ridge hit up a few bars and the take the Path train into the city...no more than a 15 min ride from Hoboken to the City In hoboken you can hit a bar called Green Rock...its right by the Path train...usually packed every night of the week....and if you want you can hit up Sinatra drive in Hoboken..its right on the water and the view of Manhattan is amazing and there a few cool bars on the water to chill at. Def go into the city....its a cool place you just need to be aware of your surroundings...and dont stop for every idiot on the street trying to sell you something...sometimes you have to be rude.. If you wanna go into the city and spend a little bit on drinks you can go to this place 230 Fifth...its on 5th ave and i think its 27th. Its a roof top bar and the view there is ridiculous. Its a trendy dressy place so dont roll up in flip flops....here is the link http://www.230-fifth.com/ either way you'll have fun |

Morristown is 15 minutes up 287. There's a bunch of bars there, don't know about clubs.
But if you're willing to go that far, NYC is always good.
