Cool Its official: Aston Martin One-77 revealed

Aston Martin has released the first image of its newest flagship – the limited edition One-77. Details are scarce, but the One-77 will be powered by a hand-built 7.0-liter V12 nestled inside an aluminum and carbon fiber chassis. 0-60 times are estimated at 3.5-seconds, with a top speed cresting 200 mph.

77 examples of the £1 million coupe will be produced and customers will be able to customize the bespoke supercar to meet their individual tastes. The One-77 will be revealed later this year (Paris?) and will go on sale shortly afterwards.

This will be the first all-new vehicle from Aston Martin produced after the brand was sold by Ford to a group of investors spearheaded by Prodrive's David Richards. We're also curious to know if the One-77 will play a part in Project Alligator, the rumored collaboration between Aston and Mercedes-Benz. All details will be revealed in due time. Until then let your eyes feast on the only image we have of the upcoming One-77 supercar.

UPDATE: AutoExpress has taken down the story. We don't know why, but something smells fishy.

A very expensive toy when you compare it to the faster, more powerful, better built and cheaper Bugatti Veyron.

I like Astons, but this thing is priced very much so out of the market.

True. It might be a thing of beauty then since the Veyron isnt exactly a work of art. However, at the end of they you can still get much more for your money and still have something really exclusive.

I wonder if that 7.0 V12 is a new MB engine since MB might be partnering with AM. Hmmm...Also there is that new Gullwing model to consider. I heard it would receive a V12TT or the 6.2V8, but I guess at this time it might be too early to get accurate info. Time will tell.

I see your update, does that mean the story is fake or AM have asked for the story to be pulled?

No idea yet. Could it be the 7.2L MB engine from the Zonda appearing in this One-77?

After all, that engine puts out around 550bhp and that seems to match the spec we have for this new One-77.

Exclamation It's official.

Guys, it's offical. Check out the Aston Martin websites:

http://www.astonmartin.com/thecompan...d-70d1eafc6558

http://www.one-77.com/

Aston are saying its a 7.0 litre V12 supercar, so I think the Zonda engine guess might just be right!

soooo....

Vantage = mini-DB9
DBS = faster-DB9
Rapide = 4door-DB9
One-77 = uber-DB9
DB9 = DB9

They all look nice and I can differentiate all of the models, but srsly... AM should get a new designer... or at least Ian Callum should stop using tracing paper when it comes to designing cars...

oh yeah...

Agreed. The Veyron is all about speed. The Aston on the other hand is just marvelous to look at. I would choose this over the Veyron in a heartbeat. After all, how often do you need to be the fastest around the track?

Really? Just speed? I wonder why they add AC, stereo, leather and all the amenities that come with a modern day luxury car into a vehicle that is just about speed.

Pretty much. I still think the Vantage is the best design, and the best value. Hell, I think it's their best car.

That's because it is their best model. I love it's design/proportions. Yes, the DB9 looks great but I am more amazed when I see the Vantage. I love that thing.
