Rod Bearing replacement: 2008 M3...

77k miles
Here is what it looks like
Good thing I didnt drive it
Just got the car off the delivery truck and took it right to the shop here at Bay Area ( SV Bimmer)

In all seriousness, those bearings do not look great. You should not see copper - ever. That is a sign of abnormal wear.

I think everyone on the forum is in a bad mood cause of this crappy winter we have been having!! You did right by your S65.

They’re all in denial, as having approximately 200 members just on here who had blown their motors due to rod bearing...yet they say there’s no issue. Just like that one member couple years ago who joined their bandwagon just to have his engine blow few months after that
