Stage 2 M3, a mistake?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 2013 e92 M3. I really wanted a stock one but this one came around and was perfect. The car is a Stage 2 car so it has upgraded pulleys, air intake, test pipes(no primary cats), and a tune done at a professional shop. My main concern is the stage 2 tune; could this cause me problems long term or is it something I shouldn't worry about?

Update: Images and trim request:

Year and Model: 2013 E92 Mineral White
Miles: 44500
Options: Competition,Sunblind Rear,Comfort Access,Rear Park Distance Control,CF Roof
Transmission: DCT

Paid:36000

Other goodies: Pulleys upgrade, air intake upgrade, test pipes, tune, perfect interior, almost perfect exterior, practically new 19 inch tires and brakes.

You forgot pictures, mileage, colour and trim. Extra power will only kill the longevity of your engine if abused.

You still got a few more stages left before we can consider it a mistake.

I have intake, pullies, catless x-pipe, and tune on my car and it's better in every way. The car's midrange power was completely transformed and made it so much easier to drive everyday. I've had those mods on for 30k miles and everything is still flawless. I would not worry about the "Stage 2" mods. Enjoy it and welcome!

Same.

Op. The only issue you may have is not being able to pass inspection if your state does them due to being catless.

By Stage 2 I’m assuming you at the very least have a primary cat delete.

You shouldn’t have any long term issues.

1) just be sure you have the original cats or even better an OEM X pipe that you can swap in whenever you get smogged
2) make sure you have the software cable so you can flash it back to oem software for getting smogged
3) look up the BMW emissions readiness procedure so you can complete it 1 mos before any smog test

If you don’t need to get smogged or have your ecu checked to be sure everything is in readiness then ignore the above... but if you do move to a state like that then you need to keep what I mentioned.

I do live in city that does smog. Lets just say the tune shop took care of that issue. Passed last week.
