Touch up paint
Where can I buy touch up paint for 20 inch black 666 wheels. Have a small curb rash and want to touch it up myself . Do you think I can just apply some paint here ,understand it wont be 100% fix but would rather pay a professional for a bigger damage

666m black are machine finish (correct me if I'm wrong). You cannot paint match it if you care for results.

I dont understand someone needs to apply touch up paint to repair it after sanding ? What do you mean get it repaired ? At the final stages of the repair doesnt it need to be painted?

The "silver" part of the wheel is not painted. That surface is bare aluminum. It has been machined and polished to give it the shine and smooth appearance. Sometimes there will be a layer of clear coat over this (and the black part which is painted) to give some measure of protection and smooth out the appearance. I believe that these wheels do have a layer of clear coat however I'm not absolutely sure. Regardless, the damage in the picture appears to be damage to the aluminum surface itself. Repairing this surface damage (usually some kind of sanding and then polishing) is the best, and really only, way to restore the appearance. Putting on any type of coloring (touch up paint or otherwise) will not look normal and will likely be just as noticeable to you as the current damage.
Repairing this kind of damage is pretty straight forward for a good technician. They likely will be able to repair this so well that you will not be able to find where the damage was in the first place. The referral given in a prior post is likely to be your best bet. |

I have an apt to fix it but damage is so little and barely noticeable , thinking if i should leave it the way it is and get it fixed if there are more curb rashes.
