Moved car with dead battery and power steering shit itself.
Aloha guys and gals. I recently moved my M3 with a dead battery into my buddies garage. We had the car in neutral but had to move the wheel multiple times to get the car off the trailer and into his garage. I went to work on the car the next day and there was a puddle of power steering fluid on the ground. We didn't move the wheel past the allowable cutout. I went back to work on the car today and all of the fluid is gone from the reservoir. I'm not sure if I'll be able to drive it home or what I could have damaged. Any help is appreciated.

You’re going to have to figure out why it lost fluid. Turning the wheel with the engine off is not going to cause that.

That's exactly what happens when you turn a wheel when the tires are on the ground and car not running Clean up your mess, fill it and send it Just pushed a e46 in after blowing the water pump into pieces And forgot to suck some Fluid from the res and just poured fluid all the way into the shop lol |

Problem is I don't have time to figure it out right now and take everything out from underneath to get the rack. I'll just figure it out next month. |

The fluid overflowed from the reservoir cap vent. It's the only opening in the system. If it didn't come from there then you have a leak elsewhere. Clean up and carry on.

Makes sense, but I believe it ended up leaking on the driver's side. I can't wait to see what I have to fix next, lol.

Dead battery on e92 is a nightmare, mostly cause you gotta put a jumper on to get the trunk released. Glad I've never had to move the car with battery dead.
