Is this normal?

Hey guys. I'm currently looking at this car to buy. The only problem that I'm a little bit worried about is this part here.

Is that supposed to come off like that? The owner said it is normal wear and tear because the car sits low? It's a plastic piece I think.

Is that anything I should worry about?

It’s pretty common for the front undertray and the two sudecwings to get trashed, particularly on lowered cars. When they rub or hit something they can push back against the front side of the wheel liner. The complete undertray might be around $500. If your wheel liners are wrecked you would need those as well.

If it needs an undertray those are around $400 from deansbimmer

Fender liners around $125 per side. Ask whomever you are having do the PPI to look to see if they liners just need a new clip or two. As far as the undertray, I have seen cars for sale completely missing them. Again, make sure the ship doing the PPI checks to see if it's even there.

That looks like it just popped out, I wouldn't worry about that. Easy fix. Highly doubt you even need to replace that.

Like some others have said there is an under-tray that these cars have that gets destroyed pretty regularly. So much so that 3rd party vendors have made a metal replacement.

Corner piece needs replacing. Not a big deal at all. $90 and 2minutes to replace.

It did what it is supposed to do....sacrifice itself to save the rest of the front end from damage.

very common.. go with an aftermarket aluminum undertray instead of replacing the felt pieces.. it will address this issue as well.
