new member intro
Hey fellow ME owners, just taking a moment to introduce myself. long time bimmerpost member but new to the M3 boards. Appreciate the quick and constructive feedback I got to my post a couple weeks ago, helped me make my decision on this beauty... 2011 Alpine White E92 M3 with DCT, carbon roof, carbon leather trim, premium audio, EDC, winter, tech, premium and convenience packages.
Looking to do some basic maintenance over the winter then an x pipe, filter and possibly pulley.

it's out of California and somehow wound up in Oregon. so if anybody knows the previous owner I'd love to get some extra info on it. long shot I know but you never know. Additional info is that all recall work was done in July of this year and it has performance grills and blacked/smoked side grills.

Agreed! I was looking for either AW or something super loud and over the top. But since I can't afford a Lime Rock I was pretty limited in choices.

Welcome lad I have the be same M3 got it 4 weeks ago and flew abroad to work 2 days after pick her up gutted but the mods have started thanks to my wife's understanding , rod bearing upgrade (BE / ARP Bolts) , 19" satin black 359 rims with 12mm spacers Allround , 2 pipe mod to back box and simple cosmetic changes chrome to black
As you said let the mods begin and bank balance to empty 🙏👀

Congrats! I just purchased mine too! Have fun! What made you get the e92 instead of the F80 M4?

Also, I used to race a DSM back in the day and my experience with turbos has never been exactly positive from a reliability standpoint. I've ton a ton of research and it seems like reliability is still better on a NA engine, no wastegates, no turbos, no intercoolers and piping, no extra heat generated. Plus, I think I'd be way too tempted to go overboard and negatively impact daily driving and reliability with a turbo'd engine.

I plan on keeping this E92 for a long time. I'll be honest. When I saw an M4 after I purchased my E92, I was second guessing myself. Those F80 M4s are sexy as hell.
