L. Kung Photography has finally been completed! What do you guys think?

After what felt like months and months of slaving away, my website is finally completed. I've been meaning to build one for the longest time but it took a push from a good friend to finally do it. There is plenty of BMW content on there so i hope you guys enjoy it.

Let me know what you think!

seems like the server is having problems and the loading is taking forever. Hopefully it fixes itself soon so you can view it.

Teach me.

Seriously, where can I learn about cameras and getting into photography?

Site design is amazing, background music is very fitting. Pictures are STUNNING.

That Lotus is pure sex. Is there any chance we can request high res pictures for desktop use?

If you really want to learn about photography, no better way then to pick up a camera and learn first hand. It doesnt have to be a great camera, my first camera i shot with was a 3.2mp Sony Cybershot.

I never actually went on photography forums. The best way really is to learn by doing.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I really want to get a decent camera before I go off to college in August. Do you have any recomendations to a good-quality and affordable camera that would be good for a beginner?

You didn't say if we can get high res pics or not.

Depends if you want a DSLR or not. In this day and age of photography, 80% is post processing to be honest. Canon and Nikon both offer great beginner DSLRs and you cant go wrong with any of them (XTI, XSI, D40, D40X etc etc). They are fairly similar in technical specs so just go with whichever feels better in your hand.

If you dont want a DSLR, i LOVE the Canon G series cameras (G9 to be exact). They give you the ability to adjust everything just like a DSLR, you can shoot in RAW format, its alot more compact then a DSLR, you can even get different lenses, and the best part is probably that it can still shoot videos. Its essentially a DSLR in a digi cam form.

And i cant provide all the images in high res but i will try my best to get you what you want. It will retain my watermark though but it will be discrete. Let me know what photo you are interested in.

Thank you again for your quick reply, I am going to start looking into these cameras!

I am interested in the following pictures please:
Automotive #1: 1st and 4th pictures
Automotive #2: 1st, 6th pictures, and 7th pictures.

I guess the highest res you can get or at least 1600x1200 preferably...if not I will take whatever size you have please.

Your site is definitely getting put in my favorites for future browsing!

1)Get a real host. 1&1 has packages from $5 a month and their $10/month should be more than sufficient for you methinks. The banner at the top is distracting in the extreme. This and #2 are my biggest issues with the site, the other points are just stylistic things.
2) Fonts are too small, as is, imo, the entire website. Nobody actually uses 1024x768 anymore, you can make the flash optimized for 1280x1024.
3) The round the screen square effect becomes tiring after a while. Looks great on the intro/load, but when going through a lot of pictures it becomes annoying. Maybe take it off the picture transitions but leave it for everything else?
4) The bouncy arrows to scroll through to pictures are annoying. Either make them bounce/move 1-3 times when you first mouse over them or not at all. Continual animation is distracting.
5) Perhaps add a scroll bar in place of or an overall position indicator to the picture menu on the right. Then you could merge Automotive #1 and #2 into a single page. This makes me think you used a template and you're not very familiar with Flash. Action Script is really easy, I'd recommend learning it and you don't even really need to know it to change what I'm suggesting.
6) I don't hear any sound but there's an on/off button for it at the bottom.
7) Overall a very nice site, love the menu layout and the bw --> color motif on mouseovers

P.S. I notice (and have been meaning to ask you about) that you've got the Sector 111 logo for your avatar. Is that your Exige in the gallery?
