New Whip
So, I been lurking around here for years now. Either looking to purchase or just to see what's going on. I like to change out cars and have been through quite a few in the past few years. I haven't been on the job three years yet and have had these cars since being employed: SAAB 9-3 V6 XWD, BMW 335i E92, BMW M3 E90, MINI JCW R56 and now i'm back in a BMW.
I just picked up my new-to-me ride. It's a 2013 Space Grey 135i 6MT. Found it here locally in great condition. I wondered if he ever went over the speed limit in this thing since it was so clean. Good for me! I had to do my first cosmetic repair on it. Just got it inspected at Express Lube and after I hopped back in there. I noted a fingernail size slit in the dash . I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before, but I am getting older so maybe I missed it in the inspection on Saturday. Anyways, I tried to close the cut with some Gorilla glue, but it would not set quick enough. So I had to go with the super glue. I put a few drops on a pin and inserted it into the slit very carefully as to not get it anywhere else. Then I held the area closed for about 20 seconds and it actually come out pretty good Here are a few pics of the repair and the car itself. |

Looks like a clean, well-kept example. Nice job on the repair as well--like it was never there.

I just realized the X5 in the garage is wearing a paper plate. Is that also a new purchase? They look really good in silver.

The X5 is a nice looking truck. We test drove an Audi SQ5 and I tried my best to sell her on it. The supercharged 6 has no lag and since it weighs less than the X5 that thing moves immediately! We are enjoying the X though. It’s loaded up with the m sport pack and other cool features. Last edited by Believer; 06-06-2018 at 09:01 PM.. Reason: Grammer |

I've driven a number of Q5's on an extended basis, when my S4 was getting a new engine a few years back. One of them had the supercharged V6 (obviously detuned from the SQ5 version), and it was quite fast. It also had premium sound, which was incredible. It made a great daily driver for being in the city, but I prefer the looks of the competing BMWs. Not to mention, the Audi's X5 competitor is the Q7.

Beautiful car! I love the color and the black accents everywhere. Dash repair looks clean!
I'd get some LaminX or somethin' to protect those headlights, as they aren't cheap!
