Coding out engine sound thru speakers

Not really sure what to search on for this topic, but simple question:

Do most dealers do this "coding" to eliminate the artificial engine sound, or are some not comfortable doing this? Also, how long does this take and approx how much do most dealers charge to do this?

Garage List
It's called ASD (Active Sound Design). Dealers will not code your car.

According to the F80/F82 cheat sheet (found on the first post of this thread), make the following coding changes to disable ASD:

ASD Module - 3000 - FunktionenHBaureihe - Change to F021
HU_NBT - 3000 - ASD_SOUND_OFF - Change to aktiv

I fixed mine with Bimmercode. It’s a different car now. You might miss the sound tho.
