So I added something a little different to the garage
Before anyone asks, the 135i is staying. With that being said, back in the day when I was in college, I always wanted a S2000. Specifically a AP1. Never had the means, so it never happened... until now. Found this 11000 mile example in PA, drove the 3 hrs and here I am!
I'm so happy! Probably the best manual transmission ever, 9000 rpm sounds phenomenal, and it just feels like a go cart. |

These things are awesome!! I've only had a chance to briefly drive one but it was great nonetheless.
Enjoy the cheap, easy maintenance.

Was just thinking...
Your mortal enemy (JK), chris_flies, will go through the roof when he sees this. "NA, 6-speed manual FTW!!"

That's so cool! Congratulations. One of my college roommates had one, and he never let me drive it but I did get a ride in it. Very nice car.
How's the steering feel? Pretty sure S2Ks have electric racks! With all the talk of the 2-series electric racks having no feel, I would be very interested in a comparison between the 1er and the S2K specifically on steering feel. |

An 11,000 mile AP1? Unreal. Congrats on the find and purchase.

I always said if I was to get a Honda, it would be the S2000. I remember when my neighbor got one many years ago when they first came out, I told myself I would end up getting one but never got around to it.
Nice car OP. I still hold that opinion, if you see me driving a Honda, it's because it's an S2000. |

Anyways, captain slowly, it's a beautiful car and I wish you a long time of NA enjoyment, manual-shifting fun, and actual reliability! Awesome car, I can't believe how clean it is! It's a Honda!

Congrats! I had 2 s2k's previously. an AP1 and an AP2. When the AP1 had wrecked I grabbed the ecu out of it and threw it in the AP2 I picked up haha can't beat tricking that 2.2 into revving to 9k

Thank you. I couldn't believe I found it, it was more than I wanted to spend, it wasn't a 2003 which is what I really wanted, but it is as close to brand new as I could get and here we are Quote:

You should've bought it, they don't come around with super low miles very often. |

Congrats! I still remember a review I read when these first came out that said something to the extent like "drive it like you hate it and you'll love it." Enjoy!
