So I added something a little different to the garage

Before anyone asks, the 135i is staying. With that being said, back in the day when I was in college, I always wanted a S2000. Specifically a AP1. Never had the means, so it never happened... until now. Found this 11000 mile example in PA, drove the 3 hrs and here I am!

I'm so happy! Probably the best manual transmission ever, 9000 rpm sounds phenomenal, and it just feels like a go cart.

Congrats! I had an AP2, and I am not entirely ashamed to admit that I still Google the VIN from time-to-time to see if it pops up for sale. They are the best.

Almost pulled the trigger on a red AP1 before getting the 135i.

These things are awesome!! I've only had a chance to briefly drive one but it was great nonetheless.

Enjoy the cheap, easy maintenance.

That's so cool! Congratulations. One of my college roommates had one, and he never let me drive it but I did get a ride in it. Very nice car.

How's the steering feel? Pretty sure S2Ks have electric racks! With all the talk of the 2-series electric racks having no feel, I would be very interested in a comparison between the 1er and the S2K specifically on steering feel.

I always said if I was to get a Honda, it would be the S2000. I remember when my neighbor got one many years ago when they first came out, I told myself I would end up getting one but never got around to it.

Nice car OP. I still hold that opinion, if you see me driving a Honda, it's because it's an S2000.

Anyways, captain slowly, it's a beautiful car and I wish you a long time of NA enjoyment, manual-shifting fun, and actual reliability! Awesome car, I can't believe how clean it is! It's a Honda!

Lol, I was thinking he was gonna have a mental breakdown when he saw the post, what with me actually liking the DCT in my 135 (how dare I).

Thanks. The first priority is to change all fluids, it needs tires not because they are worn, but because they are original.

The steering feel is phenomenal. I still like the feel of my 135 better, but for a electric rack it is spot on.

Thank you. I couldn't believe I found it, it was more than I wanted to spend, it wasn't a 2003 which is what I really wanted, but it is as close to brand new as I could get and here we are

Get one before they are either too expensive, or they're all beat to crap

You should've bought it, they don't come around with super low miles very often.

Congrats! I still remember a review I read when these first came out that said something to the extent like "drive it like you hate it and you'll love it." Enjoy!

There's nothing wrong with liking the DCT, it's like the bridge between slush box auto and manual; all the precision and engagement of the manual, with the easiness of an auto...

I've progressed...it doesn't matter the tranny, just drive the stinkin' car like it's meant to!
