Performance Suspension VS B12 Pro

What's up everyone, BMW has brought the prices of the OEM performance mods down a significant amount. Now the OEM performance suspension is the same price as the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit. Now that there is no price advantage to the B12, which would you guys recommend??

Right now you can get the Performance suspension and performance exhaust both for 1500. Kinda tempting... but I don't want to get the suspension if it isn't all that

Where did you see a price drop? Are the springs reduced or just the whole kit?

That is a big drop. Springs alone are nearly $400 most places.

Interesting, I just checked the shopbmw site and the price is still 1,455 for the suspension

I'm liking these price drops. Got my PE a few weeks ago because of this

I'm on the fence between the two also, but leaning toward the BMW PS, because my 135 is a daily driver (and never tracked) and I still want a decent daily street drive.

Turner motorsports is selling it for around $1200, but I have a hookup at my local dealership and he is getting me a price - I'm hoping he can beat Turner.
However, that one you linked to is an INSANE price!

It's worth noting that in the BMW PS, you also get upgraded anti-roll bars - not so much on the B12 kit. That is, unless the steeply discounted version doesn't come with it.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that part number in your cart does not include the springs. And as someone else already mentioned the springs alone will set you back another 400 or so

I've spoken several times about the BMW Performance suspension, saying that I think it's conservative but that's what I wanted and expected. If I had to do it over I would probably get it again.

I will also mention it is a complete kit if you add the yellow Performance springs, but it does not come with an upgraded rear sway bar, only an upgraded front sway bar.

Also, I believe the BMW Performance parts for the 1 series are being discontinued, so this kit, as well as the BMW Performance exhaust might not be available much longer.

I think the kit you're looking at is for the 128i, which adds the same rear sway bar that comes with the stock M Sport suspension on the 135i.

Eeeenteresting...
I shall have to check with the vendor.
Obviously you have the kit, so you should know.

Wait...no...I saw this on the interwebs, so it MUST be true. You clearly don't know what you're talking about!!

I assume you gave your vendor your VIN, so they're the ones who made the mistake in giving you info on the PS for the 128i. No error on your part.

I did a hybrid install, BMW Perf springs and the shocks from the B12 kit. Very happy with the results and so far everyone (quite a few other 1er guys at this point) that has driven the car loves the setup.

Keep in mind there are different springs available with the BMW perf setup. I have T2 in the front and T3 in the rear and it's a perfect mix as a DD & B-road car in my opinion. If I was planning to do HPDE/AutoX more often I'd maybe go a bit stiffer but I don't think it would make a huge difference.

I don't have either of these, but...

I really like my Eibach springs and Koni Sport shocks. More of a budget setup than the Bilsteins and BMW PS, but I have absolutely no regrets. I got the whole sha-bang for the same price as the BMW PS without the springs, not including new front strut hardware and rear shock mounts, from Tire Rack.

I read an article on the Bmw performance suspension on the 135. Somehow they tracked a better lap record with the stock suspension. No idea how. But I have a thread where we discussed a lot of suspension parts. I was between the bilsteins and the BC racing. Lot of my friends has BC Racing and loved them. So I pulled the trigger on M3 control arms and bc coils
