BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP No Longer Works for Blinkers

So, the dealership had to update my coding, since they had to install new headlights due to a warranty issue. I had to go back in afterwards and redo all the coding, no issues, except...

One thing I like is to have 5 blinks for the blinkers on a 'soft' push of the blinker signal, rather than 3. BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP was the coding parameter that changed this (set the werte value to the number of blinks you wanted -1). It apparently no longer works, nor does other related cfuntions (changing PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN).

Anyone find any solutions for this?

Thanks

Nope, I am afraid you are SOL on this. I had a similar thing happen to me when my car was recently updated as well. According to the expert coders here on the forums, after a certain I- step, that parameter changed functions - so no more changing the number of blinks.

I am sure there is a "new" hidden software switch in the coding deep somewhere. But as of yet, it has not been found and there is no telling if/when it may be found.

That sucks. I got all the other stuff coded that I wanted (mirrors fold when locked, turned off seat belt reminders etc). Was hoping I could do this too

I can confirm this...... I just bought a '15 with a MY of 04/14 and just had Alex code his std package and he informed me that my modules were updated prior co the LED blinkers could not be coded. I looked up my I-Step per the DIY on here and the results are F020_18_03_532 (03/18)

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but is this still the case... being unable to code in 5 blinks rather than 3 (max)?
