Anyone change pads?

I've got the factory-pad shudder at 9000k. Forum consensus is pad deposit on rotors, but I will run the dial over it to see if I'm up for warranty rotors. More agro pads like Pagid will fix the deposit issue? No track time as yet, but driven like it's a track car (always warmed up and down) so I have no issue with squeaky brakes if I swap pads.

I put it on the hoist and put a dial on the rotors .1mm lhs, .2mm rhs run-out. Can't find any reference to spec. There is comment on the threads about running track pads on to clean up the rotors and then going back to road pads - but I don't think it'll help. It's booked to go in Thursday, I'll push for pads and rotors.

Did you get any feedback - Mine went in about 5 weeks ago for a service. I reported the problem then and I am still waiting to hear back. I had to call 3 times and then went in - they still don't know.

Then BMW wonder why people change to Porsche - their after sales service and warranty leaves BMW for dead.

Local dealer is a joke. "Nah mate, you've got 3mm of pads left" - Mechanic. I explain that I understand pads are a consumable, but that rotor shudder under 10K should be an issue. "If the area rep gets back to me then we'll see" - Service Manager. I was informed if he doesn't get back, then it's not warranty. So, completely non-committal. No wonder they havn't sold me the last three cars!
Coincedently my original dealer rang me to chase up on my phone enquiry a week ago. I explain what unfolded - they immediately say to contact BMW Aust and put a complaint. Not going to bother, I just won't deal with the country dealer. It's a six hour drive to BMW Melbourne, but I'll book it in with them as soon as I have time.

You've got another non-factory dealer. The ONLY one is SA? And the next closest is mine
