Installing splitters over Xpel??

Quick question, does anyone know if I should install the carbon splitters over the Xpel or have it removed before installation? I do plan to have the Xpel reapplied on the splitters.

I'd try to remove it first. First the extra thickness of the Xpel may cause fitment issues and second if you remove the splitters later it'll rip the Xpel and you need to redo the entire bumper.

i have my whole car wrapped in xpel. i did not have the splitters u mentioned but for the spoiler we covered the entire trunk as normal and then wrapped the splitter before attaching it to the car. No issues at all. Same thing with the front lip, i sincerely doubt the wrap will cause fitment issues but you could test fit it before you goto the extreme of removing the wrap.

If the splitters are installed over the existing Xpel, could they still be removed without messing up the covering to the point where the entire front would have to be redone?

I had Expel installed before the splitters went on in the case they had to be replaced or removed for a future owner. They fit over the Expel perfectly.

We didn’t use any adhesive by the way. We just used the fasteners and it’s not going anywhere.

Okay, I guess I will do the same thing. You're saying the top outer portion of the splitters were tight?

Was totally mounting over the clear bra. I also didn't use any tape or glue since there were so many fasteners with the MP lip.
