New 335i Owner
Greeting all!
I recently purchased a 2009 335i. Unfortunately, we do not have a BMW dealership where I live. How often should a schedule check-ups/PM with the closest dealership? |

Do you have an independent dealer near you that can perform bmw repairs/maintenance? No need for dealer visits.
Regarding pm and scheduled maintenance, check your owners manual. You can also google your car and search for maintenance schedule information that way. Lastly, try posting this in the e9x forum. This forum is focused on m3s so the other forum has better knowledge on this |

I owned three 335i's before my M3. My cars DIC alerted me when big things were required: brakes, brake fluid, plugs (I think), etc. None of my 335i's had over 70K miles, so I don't know where you're at. With a 2009, you have the N54 twin turbo I6 and may want to consider having the valves "walnut blasted" at 40-50K miles. You will find a ton of DIY maint videos on Youtube including coils, plugs, cabin micro filters and more. You will find info specific to your car on E90post.com.
Great car that does everything and easy to mod!

If you did not have a full inspection done on the vehicle prior to purchasing, I would recommend having a knowledgeable/experienced shop in the area that has had actual experience on this car take a good look at it. The twin turbo N54 engines have some common issues and maintenance items that should be addressed based on previous the previous owner's maintenance history and the car's current mileage. There are some preventative measures you can take but it'll depend on the car's condition. Also, check out: http://www.e90post.com/forums/index.php for a ton more info!
