ISTA BMW F82/F83 Software update

I got a 2017 M4 F83 I changed the Body control module, FEM or electronic front module as ista calls it. I connected via Icom a2 and if i do after replacement or even full software update i get the same error.
The meassures plan contains hardware actions preventing implementation of the meassures plan.
Observe the following procedure:
When installing a control unit:
Close the operation and carry out the installation.

In case of retrofit/conversion
Select "vehicle modification"....

Anyone know what this means? Ive done the following:
1. Closed ista, disconnected battery and redid everything, same error.
2. Whent in operations, closed the finished operations and same error.
3. ISTA-D VERSION 4.08.21

Any help greatly appreciated.

If I recall correctly the FEM also contains immobilizer/CAS features which means it stores key information to communicate to the DME.

What i also just found out is that we used a non-compatible bmw charger to do the software update and the update itself crashed right when the windshueld wipers turn on themselves.

So what do you mean about the CAS feature, how do i remove these keys?

That can't be good... you need first to use a PSU and not a charger during programming, and if you didn't know that, then don't update your car's software. For better support with ISTA issues, head on to CTUK.

I'm a computer engineer, the car still starts, nothing else works as it should, door locks, windows, conv top etc. What do i need to do, do i reset the FEM, how do I continue with the software update or just program the FEM?

You're gonna need ISTA/P with expert mode in order to code your FEM. You won't be able to program your FEM unless it is fresh. If its not fresh, you can try with ESYS, but if the FEM contains mileage > than your other modules, it may take that.
