So, this happened...

Guys!! I feel like this is kind of a big deal! I'll just keep going with the preventative maintenance - and I will, of course, fix anything as it fails. I have parts piling up in my garage that will be installed over the next few months. Once I get caught up with the wear items that need replacing, I can start modding for performance. I love this car, here's to another 100k!

PS - The warning light is from "Low Windshield Washer Fluid" or whatever it says. The damn reservoir or pump leaks, whenever I fill it up there is a huge puddle of fluid on my garage floor the next day. The light bothers me, but I am going to wait to fix the wiper fluid leak until I am doing my suspension work in a few weeks and my car is on a lift with the wheel off. No need for alarm

The oil sensor is not yet reading the level. As the OP indicated the warning triangle is for low washer fluid....

No. Go outside, strap GoPro's on the thing and send it with some celebratory burnouts and donuts.

All seriousness congrats on hitting 100k.

Good milestone, Mary! Are you upgrading suspension bits and all as you go or maintaining with OEM? I didn't have a chance to check the car out this past weekend; I was too deep into that burger........

I'm at 130K with my E90...didn't realize this was a thing....

Congrats OP...with a few exceptions I have found this to be a pretty reliable car. Yes, I've done preventive lower rod bearings and I have to replace a throttle actuator, but it's been a pretty great car.

This is not a bad idea...lol. I actually have a little time to myself now that the holiday is over, this might end up on the to-do list.

And, thanks!

Hey, sorry for the delayed response! I am replacing suspension parts but no major upgrades.. yet. When I was first looking at lowering springs months ago I ended up really wanting a full coilover setup, but was talked out of it by most of the track friends/instructors I have. I guess the idea is that I should keep my car as stock as possible while I am learning to be a better driver on the track. So, I just put on H&R sport springs, and now I am replacing my original shocks/struts with Bilsteins, and I am also putting on new shock/strut bushings and mounts as well. All the other work this winter will be revolving around wear parts in my engine, with some minor upgrades. And, I understand... that place had amazing burgers lol

Lmao, it probably isn't a thing!! I am just silly like that I've already done rod bearings (plus engine mounts at same time), but still on original throttle actuators. Not really scared of that though, I have been told the car gives a fairly specific code for TAs, and I helped a friend change one on his E92 so I know I can do it myself in my garage. When my buddy's shop was doing the rod bearings they said my water pump was a little noisy, so I'm going to replace that along with the t-stat soon. Also going to do belts and pulleys. Besides that I have only had to do minor things to keep this car happy: regular oil changes, replacing all fluids, spark plugs, next week I'll replace the rest of my coil packs, and it seems like I'm always messing around with my brakes... I think the car IS fairly reliable as long as it is cared for properly

Nah nothing silly about it. I think there is a lot more fear than actual problems with the car. It's old enough now that, if you pay attention, you know what the problems are going to be. I love mine and plan on keeping it for a long long time!

I went with the WPC treated bearings and OEM bolts. The newer clearance ones weren't available yet...actually they hadn't even been designed yet. Crossing my fingers but so far so good.

If I had a do over I would go with the new ones with more clearance and APC bolts...but that's a thread of it's own.

Just for the sake of discussion - when I did my rod bearings a couple months ago, I went with BE bearings and ARP bolts
