Trunk Fire
Gents
I suffered a freakish trunk fire. Exited freeway, rolled down windows and smelled smoke. Thought it was another car at intersection, then discovered smoke billowing from my cabin.http://www.m3post.com/forums/images/smilies/evil.gif Thought it was a belt or underwood...no a 2ft flame in my trunk! I had apparel and the combustable mix of toothpaste, deodorant and lotion!!! No Lithium batts of other 'traditional'  . Contacted BMWNA...they had my car for 26-days then said, no findings for mechanical, electrical, fuel systems ==> SOL. I've got a $2,500 repair, that excluding loss of my personal property in trunk!

I don’t know man, $2500 for a trunk fire not bad. They charged me $1600 just for the EDC module that’s in the trunk... You’re lucky you’re alive and have a car to even repair!
