E92 muffler rear hanger deleted?

Was under the car the other day and noticed that the rear most hanger connections that are on the end of the muffler between the tips that bolts up under the grill in the bumper is mia. Doesn't look like it was removed or broke off. Looks like it was never welded on from the factory. Weird thing is the part that bolts to the body is there and there is only one orange rubber hanger on the one side, other side has none. Really weird, any ideas? Definitely didn't break off as i said cause there is no evidence of them ever even being welded to the back of the muffler flange. Was thinking maybe it had an aftermarket muffler at one time and the guy put a stock one back on from maybe an E90 or 93, do they not have them?

They all have them. Sedans, Verts, Coupes. The way they're welded onto the rear seam is pretty weak and susceptible to cracking and breaking off. When they do there's not usually an obvious sign of any broken welds since the casing material is so thin around the seam..

This is correct. My weld broke and it wasn't until a State Trooper told me my muffler was bouncing around like crazy that I investigated. I'll put a link to my thread here with some pretty decent photos for you:
