Seeing double...or triple !
Who all here keeps a second or third of the same E9X M3 ? I always think it would be awesome to rack up more miles daily on my 08' 6MT coupe and one day turn it into a dedicated track car....while also acquiring another coupe in different color with DCT as a garage queen and weekend car (more luxuries and comfort, maybe supercharge !)
Who here has a similar situation going on that could inspire me to do the same?! Please share photos !! GM |

I don't like having twin cars in my garage. I prefer to spice things up. Too many good cars out there to double up with a single mark and model. But then, I don't track my cars anymore.

I'd love to have the wife drive an e90 m3 since I have an e92, but it just doesn't make sense with her commute. Sometimes it doesn't matter if you can afford it or not- you get tired of going to the gas station every three days.
She has an e90 335d and it is a great alternative. Good power, good economy, and is a little sporty.

Looking for a reliable, easy to commute and park anywhere in downtown NYC street on weekends and not worry about anything type of car. I was surprised by the low price on these, and I love the silver + that specific 2011 model yr wheels you have, I had this car as a loaner probably 7~8 times in the past, and I loved it. How's the reliability in general? If I could find a decent 328 + xi with 6MT, I'd rather have this car as my DD than a 100K mile ran WRX.

Bought it 3 years ago it had 32k zero issues. Just regular maintenance that I diy. I run stock bmw style 285 17"with winter tires on cold months and bmw style 365 (OEM 18" 5 series wheels) all seasons during the warmer months that are in those pictures.
Most people can't tell the difference between then 2 wheels they are very similar. Also this one was a base model with very few options which I liked and then later added msport bumpers. The awd xi models are more common but it's tough to find them in Rwd and 6mt with low miles. As far as reliability haven't had to do nothing except regular stuff fluids and filters, did brake pads and sensors, spark plugs and 1 coil pack went on me in the 3 years. What seems to be problematic on these which is hit or miss is the electric water pump going around 80k but aside from that very solid cars. |

I started with my e93. Love the car. Bought an e92 one year later with the anticipation of only keeping one . Ive started to grow attached to both
With so many people trading up to the newer model. There are so many parts and accessories used for sale. This makes the e9x amazing value for the $$$ and a great hobby. Although the wife is pissed off I claimed the entire garage . She did get the larger walk in closet. My daily is the Range Rover .

Here's both of my 3-series The 328i is much more comfortable in the city with traffic....especially having fluffier tires and automatic transmission, the sport package helps with handling. The M3 gets more of the occasional drives to work or weekend backroads cruises since i'm in a more rural area now.
Both, fantastic cars...I don't care what breaks, i'll fix it and keep driving. GM |

That's the problem. After so many years in an M3 I find myself thinking about what I would buy to replace it... And then I fire up that V8 and it always puts a smile on my face.

I'll keep on to this baby as long as possible though, cause most certainly it will be my 4th and last bimmer. Main reasons I personally don't have much interest in their mishmash of todays products but also both BMW and their dealers in my view arrogance. |
