FS: Rare Autobahn Exotics E92 M3 exhaust

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Location:
✓ Will Ship

Item Interest
For sale is a rare, Autobahn Exotics (AE) exhaust- E92 M3 fitment. AE was Paul Walker's company before he passed away. The exhaust sounds amazing- very quiet when driving normally and opens up nicely at WOT. Absolutely no drone. The tips are huge and look amazing.

The exhaust will fit E90 M3, but the tips will stick out further- which would be perfect if you have a diffuser.

Also the "AE" badges on the tips are fine, when the car is cold they are black, when warmed up, the exhaust condensation turns them the whitish color.

About 30K miles on the exhaust.

Asking $900 plus shipping. Local pickup is preferred of course.

Call or text me with any questions 678-994-4815.

Not on/of my own car. There's a few on Youtube though.

It's pretty subtle when you drive around, but at WOT, it's pretty loud.

Why are you getting rid of your e92? What will be its replacement?

Thanks! It's funny you mention that....someone on another post was talking about basically how superior the E9X M3's are to the F8X's...and here's what I wrote:

I'm not a track driver, nor do I pretend to be. As much as I'd like to think I'm the Stig or Jeremy Clarkson, I'm not going to push my car beyond even 75% what the car can do. I haven't done a proper track day since I was in my mid 20s over a decade ago.

Just like most everyone else, I am dearly going to miss the wail of the V8. And I certainly will miss my Sparkling Graphite color, though Sakhir Orange is a nice change.

Utility of the 4 door aside, I prefer the F80, mainly because I'm now basically middle aged and the extent of my "spirited driving" will be in the mountain backroads of beautiful Washington State. However, the entire package of the car (slightly larger, far better in-car technology, and DEFINITELY far better fuel economy) is more useful to me than the V8 roar.

Is the steering subjectively worse? Perhaps, but when I'm sitting in rush hour traffic, I don't care, and actually it doesn't hurt that's it's a little lighter.

Does this mean I'm old and crotchety now? Nope, I still want a brash car. My wife drives a new B9 S4, and while it's a beautiful car (especially inside), it's not aggressive enough for me. I want those empty roads to be fun- and the F80 is certainly not boring. And not to steal and paraphrase (badly) a top gear line, I still want a car that "puts its hands down my pants and gives it a tug".

Doesn't hurt that the F8X is so. much. faster. than the E92.

Worse? maybe the same way a digital watch is worse than an analogue one. but less fun? Not in the least.

Also, the F80 is damn good looking..even compared to my modded E92 M3. So aggressive!!
