Went to the dealer to check allocations

It was my first time seeing the M3..

After some rev-ups, I was sold. So here are some questions for you guys,

I went to 2 dealers today and they had different allocations.

The earliest day possible that I could get M-DCT would be end of June production date which is not that early.

I know from this forum that many of you guys have gotten your cars faster than that. Should I shop around the dealers to find me the dealer that can promise me the fastest production rate? How "hot" is the E92 coupe w/ M-DCT? Is it gonna worth my whole summer for me?

I was just at my dealership and the earliest allocation they had for a DCT was a July build.

I had an order in with a dealer for a june build sedan. He couldn't get the 6MT swapped out for the m-dct, and finally found out the car was a week 22 build, and all m-dct's were used up until week 24 (the real start of sedan m-dct production).

So i started e-mailing and calling around 4 days ago, found about 4 dealers that could get me a week 24-26 build sedan with m-dct at a discount. Ended up going with tom at p&w in pittsburgh. I'm getting performance delivery, so I can buy it from anywhere.

call, e-mail, pm other members, and search the forum, lots of dealer's names out there that have worked with us to get cars quickly and for less $$$

A local dealer has a week 23 build date for an DCT...thats around the end of June??

Week 23 starts June 2nd

Yeah if all you want is an M3 E90, but not for the E92s or E93s
