on my zcp, was a waste of time

the valves stay open all the time in sport and sport + anyway - unlike the first gen cars where the valves were doing crazy things

only real benefit to having controller on zcp is if you wanted louder exhaust in efficient mode - which i never find a need to

i used the cg precision valve controller

Thanks for that. That's exactly what I want. The exhaust valves occasionally open in comfort and ability to be closed on startup as it wakes the kids and neighbours.

I've ordered the burger obd2 cable so I can plug and play.

Thanks for your always helpful responses.

Just out of interest are you concerned about cracking on your m performance exhaust. I'm a little worried given what I've read on the US forums

Not at all

Bought and had it installed by my delivering dealer

If it cracks I'll just grab a loan car off them while they replace it lol - that's the advantage of oe parts warranty

Regarding the MPE, exactly!

As for a valve controller, I was wondering the same as I was under the impression that at low RPM, even in Sport/Sport+ they were closed.

I was wondering about removing the valve plug from the exhaust once the valves are open. Sounds like that would only affect Efficient.

It only has a 2 year warranty. If it cracks after that we are on our own. That's my worry.

i would have sold the car within 2 years, so not really fussed

sure there are cases of cracked mufflers, but there's also even more threads about spun crank hubs

where do you draw the line between interweb overhype and reality probability

OEM warranty - I'm a doctor and don't have time with non OEM stuff particularly if there are warranty issues. However in many cases non OEM can be and is better than OEM

How recent is this software update? My car was built 10/16 and I have MPE, but I find that sometimes in S/S+, it sounds exactly like efficient until it hits 3k rpm
