Hi all,

Well, after a seemingly long wait, my new M3 has finally arrived at pre-delivery and the X5M has gone to another home. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1225710




Will and Richard @ Sylvania are your go-to guys in Sydney IMO. Just awesome people.

As you will know from other threads in the AU forum, I spent a lot of time debating what color to go with, even considering Individual builds.

In the end I decided to put that money toward modding the car to my liking. I most likely won't make all changes overnight, but over the next year.

For now, i'm kicking it off with the M Performance Exhaust which i've read is a minimum requirement on the M3. I won't argue with that

Still debating whether I will update from iDrive 5 to 6, though it's relatively straight forward and I will likely go down this path.

i personally not a fan of id6, i don't find the tablets contain enough useful info, especially the nav which is such a small map - i like id5 having the map on left full time with traffic showing, and just alternate right side info

Yup - i've had a couple of white cars before, most recent being my SQ5 in 2014 (also with a red/black interior). I didn't black it out though and it had silver/chrome trim.

I realize that the 'white car blackout' thing has been done, but i've never done it so I figured why not go for it this time. Particularly when there are so many cool CF mods you can do with the F80. I'm pretty much decided on the CF rear diffuser and boot lip, though i'm still unsure about the front splitters/lip. I may go with something different which incorporates a GTS like lip on the front without the splitters.

I used to run my ID4 in the X5M just like that also with 2/3 map showing traffic. I'll likely give ID5 a go for a few weeks to see how I like it before seeing BMR to update to ID6. Actually, the thing i'm most disappointed about is the fact that while I bought an LCI 2.0, there is a further update from July builds with the touchscreen and native ID6. It might be a blessing if ID6 sucks though.

I've got SO inside my Black M3 Comp - and am happy with, but the Red inside the X5M burns your eyes!

It didn't in reality as the entire top section of the dash, which you look over, is black.

If you sat in the back and looked forward, well that's a bit different

This was the first time I've seen the new black 666 wheels and black LCI headlights.

The difference to pre LCI 2.0 is huge IMO.

i've crunched the numbers on a gts bonnet with my repairer a few times now

budget would be 7-8k'ish painted and fitted

i don't think i like the car enough to spend that kind of coin for a body mod

The 4 series next to my car is not an M.

The plate was fitted yesterday, obviously no air issues.

It was missing on delivery, though it was fitted the day following.

The car is filthy due to a little rain earlier in the week, and the wheels look infinitely better than this in person - particularly when clean.
