Thinking about a Mercedes-AMG C63 S Cab - who's driven one?
I stopped in at the Mercedes dealer the other day. Which is always dangerous for me. My F83 is for sale and I've got the itch.
They had a 2017 electric blue C63s cab out front and that thing looks amazing. Very aggressive and the interior was beautiful. Much more luxurious than my F83. Plus it had ventilated seats which make a lot of sense in a cab. From what I've read it sounds like a beast. Haven't had a chance to drive one yet. Anyone have any experience?

Sounds sweet. I love those sport seats.
How much off sticker did you get. I found 6.5% through PenFed. Good luck with your new car pick up.

If like me you want a performance vert 4 seater luxury car - the F83 and the C63S AMG are the only real shows in town.
It's a really nice car. If it was available when I got my F83 I may have gone AMG instead. It IS more luxurious inside, pulls like a train {tie by my butt dyno) and the V8 sounds spectacular. However the F83 body feels stiffer to me, I like the exterior looks of the F83 much better and I also like the sound of my F83 (with an MPE exhaust). It's a bit of a toss up to me. I certainly wouldn't sell my F83 to get one but may have gotten one if I was starting out.

I've driven the C63S Vert.
- It rides a little softer than F83 in comfort mode. Sport mode the ride is very firm. - Its a car for smooth roads. Rough surfaces will expose its structural weakness, squeaks, rattles. Just like the F83 - It sounds incredible with roof down To me, its not a better car than F83. It all comes down to preferences. Both cars are compromised versions of their stiffer, rigid coupes. If you want a convertible, you will overlook all the negatives.

I own a 2017 C63S Cab and bloody love it. I say do it.
By all means, definitely drive it and consider it seriously if you're after another fast droptop. (I had a ZCP M3 very briefly, but have never driven an F83). I prefer a soft top to a hard top, a major difference here. Good thing, because the damn thing weighs enough as it is. It's definitely a porker. But it drives much lighter. It turns in, rotates and stops much better than a car this heavy should. I really love the chassis and handling. I had it through the Virginias and Carolinas recently and it was a treat to drive on those lovely roads. It's not my best handling car, but it's a great handling car. There's the usual cowl shake and the overall looseness that comes with a convertible, but it's way better than my 1 series and 2 series were. Subjectively, the AMG feels much more special to me than my M3 ever did. True, I think overall it's a bit softer edged than the M (except in Sport+, which is pretty brittle) but that's what I wanted in my convertible. I feel like it pulls harder, but maybe it's just that sweet sweet sounding V8 leaving that impression. The engine and exhaust are sublime. I don't think the transmission is quite as quick as the DCT, but I'm not tracking it. The interior is definitely much nicer in my opinion; this is obviously in the eye of the beholder. The back seats are reasonably roomy; my girls are still in car seats and even with those in there, there's loads of space for them to fill their surroundings with all manner of plushy toys and kitten-logo'd crap and still be comfortable. I've also had my very portly (260'ish lbs) mother-in-law back there for a lengthy ride, and there were no complaints (miraculous in itself). I can't get enough of it; it ticks all the boxes I was looking for in a 'vert. I think you'd really like it if you liked your F83, as much for its differences if you're looking for a change. My $0.02.
