It's basically an M3 competition without the wheels.
To me it's odd and kind of makes it a better buy than the competition. I'm new to BMW so wasn't aware they did this. |

yep the pure model always tends to come at end of model cycle to shift stock
they did a pure of the E9X, F10, etc traditionally the pure's have the cloth M seats, no extended leather, no hifi, fixed rate suspension, etc but they don't seem to well accepted on the used market as the price gap isn't as large as when new and used buyers always tend to gravitate towards higher spec cars you can already buy a fully loaded m3 comp for 13x on road, the saving's just don't compute to me, but i understand there may be people needing to get the bottom line to a certain point for finance or budget |

Full leather merino upholstery harman/ kardon sound system. (it has a Hifi Loudspeaker system Seat heating Roller sunblinds 20" inch wheels. (in favour of 19 inch double spoked Adaptive LED headlights High-Beam assist For me, i opted for the competition purely for the merino upholstery. The interior will look like a M2 with the fake leather dash etc. Quit boring and not premium looking. |

I'm locked into some negotiations on a Pure right now. No firm price just yet other than $139,000 DA BEFORE any discounting. Let's see what the price looks like.... But could represent some good value if circa $129K DA. None of the deletions are a concern to me, in fact I prefer the 437M wheels.
This will be my 5th BMW, and I take one look at the comp wheels, and there is no way I wanna be washing brake dust of those things every weekend |

I wonder if they're leaving the M-buttons off like in previous iterations? I probably would've gone with the Pure if it was available at time of ordering since I preferred the standard wheels. Although now I like how the 666 remind me of E30 M3s |

From what I understand, the Pure's won't be discounted nearly as much, so $129k DA might not even be achievable. That's just way to close to decent LCI 2.0 Competition Pack discounting to me.

the plastic dash/door trims and low quality leather M2 seats really ages this platform a lot, especially compared to what audi are doing with a4 interiors these days i agree, go full merino leather everywhere, or just buy an M2 and save a further 30k |

Surely it would be easier just to discount the base M3 rather than introduce another model that is close to a competition spec in price. I just don't get the point of it.

As some have mentioned, you can already get a steep discount on an M3, but I'm sure there are many who paid closer to full price. |

ironically when it comes to the normal bmw cars at end of their model run, bmw throws more options at them to move them out the door
when it comes to M cars, bmw stripes them out lol what is even more ironic, is that the pure spec is exactly the same spec the first gen F80/82 landed in Aus back in 2015 (for lci they put pretty much every option in them AND discounted them heavily because the new c63 took the wind out sales hard) |

Interesting to see if it comes with the 19" or 20" wheels
- The pics show it with the 20" comp wheels + another article I read said it comes with the 20" comp wheels - Last generation Pure models came with the competition wheels |

Yup, the comp pack wheels are not standard on the Pure.
