FOR SALE - 2016 BMW M3 Competition Package Mineral Grey

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately will be letting my 2016 BMW M3 ZCP go due to upgrading/upsizing.

I'm looking to sell it for circa 135k its has approx 5500km and is always garaged. It has complete Opti-coat Pro+ PP for both exterior and interior and is still in show room condition.

Was purchased as a weekend car and only really driven 1-2 times a week.

It was ordered and purchased from BMW in July 2016 and the registration expires in July 2017. It comes with 3 years new car warranty as well as 5 years free servicing both major and minor.

PM me for more details

I'm not sure if it's the same with the M3 as it is with my X5M, but I needed to drive the car hard to really appreciate it.

What I mean is, if I just pottered around to work and back, with the odd traffic light GP, it's all a bit meh - and i'd rather a Golf R or similar in that scenario.

Head out to a few club drive days, hit the backroads on a Sunday afternoon, etc - it's a completely different situation.

Mate the more I drive it, I'm beginning to love it. Having driven a standard M3 the ZCP is a whole different beast, if I could hold onto it I defs would.

I agree with that, in the beginning I was just using the car for getting around places. I then started to organise drive days with my mates (M2,C63, RS4, RS3) once a month and instantly feel in love with it. Was defs the best car out of the pack .

I actually am looking at purchasing a X5M or X6M so will still be in an ultimate driving machine. Having driven the X5M previously the fundamental elements of an M car are ever present and it doesn't feel like and SUV at all, its perfection.

How funny - i've done the reverse. Splitting my X5M into an M3 and mid-size SUV (Mercedes GLC).

With the X5M, I felt like I had all my eggs in one basket.

Now that the circumstances have changes, i'm looking forward to a more focused drive in the M3.

yep nailed it, exactly what i was feeling initially

having come out of an rs3, that was more fun driving to/from work and pottering around, mainly due to the engine and sound

but now that i've started doing more hill runs with it, i'm coming to appreciate how much better the chassis is. where the rs3 would get worse at speed (dampening and chassis felt crashy/brittle over bumps), the m3 just gets better and the chassis has this solid feel similar to purpose built sports cars - reminds me a lot of my built evo x on ohlins in that regard, but the evo was far less livable around town

i'm lucky i have the theatre of my f-type v8 for the fun factor at low speed, and will now look to enjoy the m3 zcp more for the chassis

I think the price of M3 is coming down, I get quoted a M3 with CP, forged black wheel, Sunroof, apple CarPlay, park assist, heated steering wheel, sun protection glazing etc, 130k.

I am looking to put deposit this weekend.

Who is quoting that figure?

If you are being serious, you should have a deposit down already.

I would have already put a deposit at this price. Why the sun roof though? The carbon roof is beautiful and a key characteristic of this car.

i ordered my build with a sunroof - and heated wheel, rear blind, park assist, carplay i just dl'd and complete wotam (the idrive menu's are far nicer and easier to navigate for same functions)

not a fan of carbon roof, can't see it while driving and just makes the car feel claustrophobic - it also transmits more noise into the cabin

13X is do'able without ceramics natch, but anything south of 145k for a custom build represents great value for this car

I know the numbers inside and out for this car, and unless there is a trade-in and LCT fudgery going on, there is no way to achieve 130k neat for a Competition Pack F80 with those options. That means a base car can be achieved for $123k. Not happening. Most people are paying about the $140k mark for an F80 with Competition Pack as part of a good clean deal.
