US preliminary EPA mileage numbers for X6
I just found this post on Autoblog.com:
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/21/2...y-epa-numbers/ In short, the preliminary EPA numbers for the X6 are: City / Highway / Combined 3.0 twin-turbo 6-cylinder - 15 / 20 / 17 4.4 twin-turbo V – 8 - 13 / 18 / 15 ...a little lower than I hoped. But the revised EPA testing is pretty stringent. |

For Canadians who don't own a calculator, that is:
City / Highway / Combined 35i: 16 / 12 / 14 liters/100km 50i: 18 / 13 / 16 liters/100km A little surprising: the 4.8 X5 drinks 17 / 9 / 12 liters/100km, quite a bit better than the X6 50i numbers, and yet BMW makes a great fuss about how economical and clean their TT engines are. Something doesn't compute. |
