In our previous spy shots, you can see a Supercharged badge affixed to the prototype. The current XLR-V uses a 4.4L supercharged Northstar V8 — good for 443 horsepower — but it remains unclear if the new car will retain that setup or switch to the CTS-V's 550 horsepower supercharged 6.2L unit. However, because the new XLR-V is already testing, that short lead time would lead us to believe that Cadillac will stick with the Northstar powerplant.
