Throwback: MotorWeek 2008 E90 M3 Review (Ep. 2737)
Came across an old video review from 2008, when the E9X M3 debuted.
I like to think that I've watched and read most of the reviews & comparisons out there through the years, but occasionally one goes unnoticed until years later. Judging by the view count (11,480 at the time of writing), I assume most of you haven't come across this one either. Enjoy

Nice find. I can't believe the video quality back in 2008 --- and Blackberry phones as the highlighted mobile device!!!

Haha
I hated my blackberry And they complained about steering feedback in the video! And did I hear "huge torque"?

It's not bad by any means, especially in its most aggressive setting with M-mode, and I got used to it quickly, but at first it did feel "soft" compared to the E46. And yes, they went there..."huge torque"

Meh. Not the best video review of our glorious e92 M3. I thought the "heavy clutch" comment was way off. I don't know what they were smoking. The e92 M3 clutch is almost too soft/easy. Not remotely heavy. Maybe they were thinking about the e46 M3. The steering feedback comment was a bit off too... unless they were comparing it to a Porsche 914.

It's so much more forgiving and softer than the E46. Not the best review, but always interesting to watch/read things in retrospect

Why are people shitting on the review? I watch Motorweek regularly and it's the style they stick to. Generally dry, descriptive, factual without slobbering all over the car...

I remember seeing that for the first time. It was was my first 'real' introduction to the car. 0-60 in 4.3 wha?! The way they threw it around the corners. I fell in love.

I, for one, happen to enjoy the journalism style of MotorWeek very much. Honest, and straight to the point.

Even their current reviews follow the same format with the same epic voice.
MotorWeek hasn't changed at all, it's pretty dope.

+1. 100% agreed on Motorweek. This guy is an icon in car reviews. Watching the retro reviews to now, the formula is the same.
