I wouldnt do it. The Evo is AWD, lighter car, not to mention you have heavy BMW OEM rims and runflats. Not sure if just a turbo tuner would change that. Maybe?
Beautiful picture.

Evo IX vs 335i with Procede 1.47. Oh man.. 08EVOx vs 335i.. Thats a tough choice. If he has the double-clutch he could possibly win. Unless your really good a shifting then maybe you'll have a chance against the evox's dual clutch tranny. |

if you had step, with drag radials i'd say do it...but the evo will take you off the line...launching a 6spd manual with heavy runflat tires and stock wheels will spin for days. I'd try racing from a 2nd gear roll...

Do a run from 40-120 you will win hopefully doesnt know the "tricks" of racing with an evo but even if he does he probably wont win. Id do it that if you are saying he is compeletly stock.

Honestly if you have to ask, then you probably shouldnt do it. Unless you don't care about $500. I'd be damn sure first. And since this is going to be at a track? GL

I raced an evo ix, we were literally neck and neck the entire time, but I slowly inched up on him after 60+. both bone stock btw, but he didnt really do much of a launch(at least not compared to some other evo launches i've seen). The new evo has about the same power and is heavier(than the ix), so I'd say go for it!

I wouldn't do it. It's a good way to lose $500. The thing about the Evo and the STI is that they cost $30K and every penny of that went into the perfomance end. Unless you drop a few thousand dollars and do some mod work, he'll win.
Don't get me wrong, I fcuking love my 335xi, but don't believe for a second that it (stock) can compete with either the Suburu or the Mitsu (stock), especially given the shat RFTs they come with. |

dude your joking right?
if he is really stock you will work him from a roll evos are made out to be alot more then what they are. go from a roll and u will own his ass now from a dig you will have to play catch up and i dont think a stock 335i will have anough to play catch up. tell him from a roll and put 1000.00 on it without thinking twice about it.even if he knows how to drive he cant win the evo`s are only strong out the hole after that there dead. keep in mind we are talking about stock evo. |
