Interested in the rain question. Looks to me if you are anywhere in someone's rooster tail it's game over. No?

I've driven my personal vehicle in a downpour with a humidity sensor inside the intakes, didn't have any issues. Only way you'd suck in water is if you submerge the intakes. If you're extra worried, we offer sleeves that repel water. You lose a little flow, in exchange for the water repelling. We leave that up to customers.

These are no different than intakes you'll find on GTR, supercharged e39/e9x/e6x, where the filters are in the lower wheel well instead of the kidneys.

Thanks

Hey Raza,

Finally about to pull trigger on intake. I might purchase from a member who is parting out...but wanted to know - do you offer a warranty on these in case they crack or finish starts chipping.

Looks like quality is A+ but I'm just thinking just in case - does the warranty transfer.

If you are close to the version with a catch can - I might wait and purchase new.

Thanks!

Catch can version isn't too far, maybe end of this month? I need the fittings machined to make it work.

Thanks

I've been running these intakes for a few months now. Have driven in the rain; it's been thru a car wash while running twice, and no worries with the water.

Huge help with intake temps. When the car heat soaks a bit in traffic I notice that the temps fall much more quickly than with the stock intakes after I start moving again.

I am running Pure Stg 1 turbos, meth, jb4 and full exhaust, TTFS backend flash. I am looking forward to getting SSP clutches installed so I can up the boost, and take full advantage of the additional flow from these intakes. Slipping at 22psi a little, and a lot with anything higher.

Is it significantly louder with both the intake and dp's?

it'll be a total beast once the clutches go in

I would say it sounds more angry, but not a whole lot louder. Though with the RPI exhaust and AMS DPs it might be hard to tell over the exhaust.

Yes, it'll be a more beastly once the clutches are in. I had the Dodson kit in for a short time. The transmission was replaced by BMW under warranty, and i had to let that kit go vs paying $16k for a new trans out of pocket.

1. How do the silicone elbows attach to the CF intakes? Should there be an oval clamp? Or push the intake all the way in?

2. Do small hair-like fibers come off from inside the intake and affect the MAF or engine ?
